Steering Committee Members

• Co-chairs: (Daniel Gregoire and Samantha Payne Garland) Responsible for the overall activities of the committee. Responsible for planning and overseeing committee meetings. Responsible for coordinating the efforts of the committee members. Responsible for maintaining committee list serve, http://lists.uuyan.org/admin/mnyd-sc.
• Secretary: (-VACANT-) Responsible for keeping minutes during committee meetings and emailing them to the Web Coordinator for posting to the website. Responsible for archive materials (i.e. posters, flyers, photos, etc.).
• Treasurer: (Ryan Novosielski) Responsible for the budget of the steering committee and its activities. Requires communication with RE Program Consultant, overseeing fundraising and submitting requests for funding or reimbursement.
• Social Justice Coordinator: (-VACANT-) Responsible for organizing social justice events for young adults throughout the district.
• Chaplain: (-VACANT-) Responsible for advising committee on activities and events. Responsible for serving as or recruiting a Chaplain for district events.
• Outreach Cluster Coordinators: Four individuals responsible for reaching out and supporting young adult groups in a designated area of the MNY district. Outreach involves visiting congregations in one's cluster when needs arrive such as help with building a group, worship ideas, etc. One of the four is designated as a leader and responsible for communicating and organizing the efforts of the other coordinators. Clusters include:

• Web Coordinator (Acting): (Ryan Novosielski) Responsible for maintaining district young adult website, http://mnyd.uuyan.org.
• Young Adult At-Large: (-VACANT-)

Advisory Positions

• District Executive (Acting): (Andrea Lerner) Serves as staff to the committee (i.e. as a resource, an advocate for funding and liaison for concerns to/from the district Board.
• District Consultant: (Claire Sexton) Unitarian Universalist Association Young Adult & Campus Ministries Consultant for the Metro NY District. Provides information and resources to Young Adult organizations and congregations in the district.
